I love a beach!
As we were leaving the beach this morning Poppy exclaimed, “I love a beach! Bye bye beach!”
Pools & Playground
Bojangles
For dinner we got take-out—delicious fried chicken, biscuits, fries, “botato” rounds, Cajun pinto beans, coleslaw, and “legendary” unsweetened iced tea. It came in two giant “Happy Meal boxes” as Daisy called them.
Afternoon swim
The rain stopped but it was still cloudy and windy outside so we swam in the indoor pool.
Evening walk on the beach
Unicorn friend
Windy morning at the beach
Only Harry was brave enough to go in the water. High of 23C today with rain starting around 1pm.
Donald’s Pancake House
The rain started as we drove back to the condo, as predicted.
Afternoon swim (indoor)
Maggie was actually the one who asked if we could go to the indoor pool, while the wind was howling outside!
McLeod Park
It was still too cold to go to the beach so we went to the playground while Harry & John went mini-golfing.
Mini-Golfing
Harry & John tried two courses. First was Spyglass Adventure Golf, where we dropped them off on our way to the park. Then they took a short Uber ride to Treasure Island Mini Golf, where we picked them up afterward.
Evening Walk
We went looking for shells and brought shovels this time. Harry pretended to dig for treasure, which morphed into a game of him drawing a line in the sand for his sisters to follow to the imaginary treasure.
We left Myrtle Beach at 7:15am. After a full day of driving, only stopping a few times for coffee, bathroom breaks, and a picnic lunch at the Virginia Welcome Center at Lambsburg, we arrived at Comfort Suites Bridgeport-Clarksburg, WV around 5pm. We checked in and then walked across the parking lot from our hotel to the IHOP for supper.
Maggie got macaroni and cheese with applesauce and Poppy & I shared some chicken and waffles (and sampled other people’s plates… hehe).
