Time to release my stress!

Our May 2024 trip to Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood
Harry is tired
Landed at LAX
It was a little overwhelming to know where to get our private shuttle van but we figured it out and were picked up on time at 9:05 PM PDT.
Maggie finally fell asleep
Arrived at Hotel
Arrived at Desert Palms Hotel and Suites at 9:50 PM PDT (12:50 AM EDT).
We were all very tired.
We basically just went to our room and went to sleep right away.
We had to be up at 6:30 AM the next morning.
Because of the time change getting up at 6:30 AM PDT is the equivalent of getting up at 9:30 AM EDT. So while we went to bed late, we essentially get to sleep in.
No one could stay sleeping till 6 AM today due to the time difference. We had lots of time to get ready and made it to breakfast as soon as it opened at 6:30 AM sharp.
Mother and Harry left a little after 7:00 AM to go get the scooter. Hopefully we will meet them soon outside of Disney California Adventure Park.
Our Hotel
We did not have time to grab photos of the hotel last night. We were all absolutely exhausted. The second we got into the room we put the kids to bed. It would’ve been about 1:30 AM EDT. The kids have never stayed up that late in their lives. I was also absolutely exhausted.
We attempted to rope drop Radiator Springs Racers but it was closed due to a tiny bit of rain so we went to Toy Story Midway Mania instead.
Then we went on the Little Mermaid ride and then queued up for Soarin’ a little after 9:00 AM.
Magnolia had the most wonderful little giggles of delight on Toy Story Midway Mania.

Magic Bands
Our park passes that we carry on our wrists.
Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree
A fun little ride with tractors and hoe-down music! Daisy said Cars Land was her favourite place. We even got to see Mater driving down the street outside Flo’s V8 Café, where we had lunch.
Mater’s spanish safetly instructions sounded quite funny.

Pluto near Soarin’
The kids loved Soarin’ Around the World so much that we rode it twice (using Genie+ the second time). The visuals are different from the Soarin’ ride in Epcot. You get to “fly” over landmarks from various countries around the world (polar bears in Greenland, the Eiffel Tower in France, elephants in Africa, etc.).
Then Maggie really wanted to meet Pluto, who happened to be near the exit to the ride. She wanted to hug him to see if he would be soft.
Woody
We used Genie+ to ride Toy Story Midway Mania again after our afternoon nap time at the hotel. We saw Woody walk by!
Encanto
Little Mermaid
We used Genie+ to ride The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure again. The girls loved it!
