Got up nice and close to watch the Disney villains dance outside the castle. It’s not everyday you get to see Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and the Queen of Hearts in a rousing musical number.

Magic Kingdom (including the staff who passed out candy) was all decked out in orange, purple, and green for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Dinner at Tusker House

We ate supper at Tusker House, a buffet style restaurant with mostly African food. (They had a few American dishes like corn dogs and mac’n’cheese for the kids.) The buffet area looks like an African marketplace! We enjoyed the curry chicken, mango chutney, seafood stew, couscous, plantains, roast beef, pork loin, samosas, and of course, the dessert table! The warm banana bread pudding with vanilla sauce (their specialty) was very good.
Okapi vs. Giraffe

Triceratops Spin

Triceratops spin. No line. Couldn’t resist. The “Dumbo ride” of animal kingdom.
Safari

Saw this creature on our safari: it had zebra striped legs and a brown body. Didn’t know God made such a thing!
Finding Nemo: The Musical

Finding Nemo the musical. Phenomenal show!! Worth coming to Animal Kingdom for this alone.

Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ

Quiet relaxing lunch by the pond at the Flame Tree BBQ: chicken & ribs and pulled pork bun.
POP Century 1950s

We are staying in one of the 1950’s buildings, with these giant Lady and the Tramp statues. One of my favourite classic Disney movies 🙂
It’s tough to be a bug

It’s tough to be a bug. Just some posters from the queue. Forgot about the “bee sting” and the bugs running underneath your bottom. Spiders falling from the ceiling were cool.

Nice view outside our room
Kiliminjaro Safari

Kiliminjaro Safari. Giraffe’s kept crossing the road. The eggs are ostrich eggs. We saw a ton of animals on the ride. Lot’s of great photo opportunities.
Bus to Animal Kingdom
Caught Animal Kingdom bus at 8:25am. Arrived at gate by about 8:40am. Was in line for Kilimanjaro Safari by 9am
Day 2: Animal Kingdom
Survived Day 1. Armed with 7 consecutive hours of sleep we are prepared to battle Animal Kingdom.
Everything Mickey

Mickey shaped towels. Mickey bed spread.
Magical luggage

Luggage magically appeared in our room.
Finishing Hollywood Studios
Next stop was Little Mermaid play. Hard to tell the story in 17 minutes but they do. Then FastPass+ for Toy Story Mania then Fantasmic. After Fantasmic we did Star Tours then Legend of Jack sparrow. Then we left. Got on a packed bus back to Pop Century. Sure beats trying to find your car and navigating Disney’s highways.
The Great Movie Ride

The Great movie ride. Nothing better than being in the middle of a gun battle and being hijacked by gangsters.
Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones was awesome as always. Front row seats again. Love it.
